Getaway Brewing (Bridge Park, Dublin, Ohio)

After a Saturday morning trip to the Worthington Farmers Market and a lunch of Condados, my girlfriend and I chose to top the afternoon off with a visit to the newest addition to the Seventh Son brewery family. Getaway Brewing is located in Dublin, the northwest corner of the 270 loop for Columbus, in the newer Bridge Park area. Specializing in beer styles from other countries, they brew the beers at Seventh Son and then transfer them to Getaway for fermenting and finishing. The place reminds me of an airport bar somehow, complete with a few dioramas installed in the space; a giant one of a plane taking off spans the back of the taps and 3 smaller ones tucked into the wall nearby of window seat views.

When it comes to beers, I enjoy virtually anything refreshing and crushable, gravitating towards Lagers, Pilsners, Sours, and Ales. The selection at Getaway was a smorgasbord of my preferred styles, such as a Rice Lager, Raspberry Sour, and the Pilsner I chose. It was nice, crisp, and bready, sipping at it on the patio on a quiet afternoon brought about that small piece of mind. My companion picked up the Altbier, preferring to go with more caramel leaning beers.

There are plenty of food options nearby in Bridge Park, Getaway doesn't provide dining but what's available around can be brought into the joint, they've also installed a charcuterie snack vending machine stocking local goods since I was last there much like Seventh Son has.

Beers featured:

So BoHo - Czech Pilsner

Form Follows Function - Altbier

The beer menu is always rotating, see more at: https://getawaybrewing.com/
