LawBird (Brewery District, Columbus, Ohio)

I had only visited LawBird once before Covid struck and had been meaning to return since things are somewhat back to normal. After a round of tacos across the street at Local Cantina with two of my dining companions, we moseyed on over to get something other than margaritas.

The cocktails here are something else - I picked up the Art Attack, a very pleasant, citrusy drink. Yuzu has been cropping up in plenty of places lately and as a fan of citrus, I’m picking up what they’re putting down. The other two picked up the Gin Gin Juice, a predominantly Gin drink, and a Snax on the Beach, a particularly weird one with Peanut Butter Rum that had me flashbacking to the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I ate as a kid and continually consume as an adult.

There is a small offering of bar snacks, charcuterie, and some shareables for the table. Since we were loaded up on tacos from across the street, we didn’t have the appetite to snack down while drinking. I will, however, come back to talk about the food once I have another couple visits under my belt.

LawBird was one of the first places in town to offer to-go cocktails once Ohio legalized liquor delivery during the pandemic, so most if not all of their cocktails are available as to-go bottles. On my previous visit, I had enjoyed their Mini Margarita, so I snagged a bottle offering 4 servings to enjoy later at home.
